Aaaaaand the video as well.

Made with the wonders of iTunes visualization and various bits of iMovie and Quicktime Pro.

If you’re one of the really connected youtube/facebook/digg/whatever people, by all means share this video around since I’m nothing if not an attention whore.

If youtube-quality makes you retch, you can download the high quality one at http://lukestark.com/verse

Some things are never “done”…

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

I’ve had this in a holding pattern waiting for the “done” stamp for months. Maybe it’s better just to cut it loose. It’s the introduction track to an album I’ve been working on for faaaaaaar too long. Maybe I shoud just finish the darn thing.

“Intro from ‘Verse” - An electronic passage through spinning fields of light and sound. Break out the bong!

Got some GREAT pictures of the sunset over Siesta Key today. I’ll post them soon.

Merry almost Christmas!

p.s. For those who missed it…Greg posted my hack of his song “The Marlin Spike”.

Blog changes and fiddly bits for April

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

After years of start/stop blogging, I ran into a coworker’s site which illustrated to me how to blog infrequently yet without lack-of-update guilt: just update monthly. Gather up whatever art, music, images,  or words you feel sum up the month and post that in one orgasmic blog rush. Then forget about it till next month. Oh sure if you have something you *have* to share, you can always post. This allows me to microblog (twitter is my size) the silly stuff and let the little tidbits of life gather in my subconscious corners before being splashed here at the end of lunar cycle (or whatever.) Groovy.

So with that: This month saw the creation of my wife’s first photo gallery, I did blog the 2nd Annual Bachelor Fest, which featured the Best BLT Sandwich Ever, and my own social networking experience grew slightly (I’ve never been a huge fan but the emergent ideas and data is often very interesting,) so I started fiddling with last.fm. Yes, old news. I’m playing catch-up. Oh and I finished a piece for ‘Verse, which you can sample. More next month!
