I scored two feature-length films and several shorts before I realized I don’t really enjoy working through someone else’s creative lens. It was a good experience if somewhat frustrating for all parties involved. This piece was a particularly fun one to do. As I listen to it now I cringe at certain points, hearing my own newness to the craft, but it’s an experience I would suggest any/every composer try. You may love it and the end product is certainly something to be proud of in most cases.
